The Silver Emulsion Podcast: Ep. 3 – Messiah of Evil

cat_podcast

Episode 3! I haven’t quit yet! Even more rambling, and now with added fan noise!

Take a listen as I talk about the 1973 film Messiah of Evil, an underseen horror film from Willard Huyck & Gloria Katz (who gave us the film version Howard the Duck!).

Messiah of Evil is available on a bunch of ugly public domain DVDs, but if you really want to watch it the Code Red Blu-ray is the one to get. It’s available at the Code Red BigCartel store, which goes up and down periodically as Code Red is a one-man operation. So, basically if the link doesn’t work, try again in a couple of days. There’s also a Code Red DVD version on Amazon, but it’s OOP and currently more expensive than the Blu-ray.

Music Notes

Intro:

Outro:

  • Phish – Frankenstein
    • New Year’s Eve 1995 – Live at Madison Square Garden (iTunes, Amazon)

The Silver Emulsion Podcast: Ep. 1 – Come Drink With Me / Golden Swallow

cat_podcast

Yep, you read that right… I’ve started a podcast! I was hesitant to do a “guy alone in a room talking to himself” podcast, but some encouraging words from an old friend made me give it a shot. And it turned out pretty OK! So give it a listen and let me know what you think.

This first episode I dive into a couple of Shaw Brothers movies I recently re-watched, Come Drink With Me and Golden Swallow.

I’m on a Podcast — Forgotten Filmcast #75: The Satan Bug

vintage-cat-headphones

After almost a year and a half, I’m back on a podcast! That’s how it goes when you don’t actively pursue those kinds of things. Anyway, you can hear me talk with Todd Liebenow of Forgotten Films on the 75th episode of his Forgotten Filmcast! We got together to discuss the 1965 John Sturges film The Satan Bug, a movie far less entertaining than its title. Commune with the pod and enjoy! I’ve embedded it below for quick listening, but if you wanna subscribe to the show or listen on a portable device you can head to iTunes, PodOmatic or Your Listen.

As always, I love feedback, so if you listen to the show let me know what you think! Thanks for listening!

Ahhhhhhhhh yeah! It’s not every day that you guest on your favorite podcast, but that’s exactly what happened the other day. The Gourmet Gamer Podcast is a show run by my old friends Zane and Evan, and the show makes me laugh more than any other. Just so you know, the show features raw, unfiltered conversation and is always very NSFW and explicit, so it’s the perfect thing to warp your children’s minds on the way to school! Give it a listen and enjoy!

The Gourmet Gamer Podcast can be found on iTunes, Stitcher or via the Gourmet Gamer website. If you’ve got a fever and the only prescription is more Gourmet Gamer Podcast, then you can also follow Gourmet Gamer on Twitter and Facebook. Don’t forget to rate & subscribe on iTunes if you like it, too! They also have a Patreon page, so if you really like the show, consider donating a few bucks towards an even better show!

As always, I love feedback, so if you listen to the show let me know what you think! Thanks for listening!
