Guys, hey, been a minute. Listened to the ‘Birdy The Mighty: Decode’ podcast recently and made the decision to watch an episode or two. That then led to viewing the entirety of Season 1. Well that was on Monday so we’ll see how well my memory serves me here, but yeah I think this show is pretty cool.
At first the animation, or should I say drawing style, was a bit off putting for me. Once a couple of the action scenes occurred though, I was willing to overlook the overly cartoony character styles as the momentum during those scenes are seriously amped up, so much so that they even recalled my old memories of the classic anime movie ‘Ninja Scroll (Jûbê ninpûchô 1993)’, albeit obviously minus a ton of the violence factor from that one. Also the shaky cam you guys so often mentioned is really effective, not too shabby.
Beyond all that, for starring some adolescents, the story is surprisingly mature and, although a bit gimmicky, the shared body scenes and gags are usually fun and inventive. Well, gonna do Season 2 pretty soon here. Apologies for the lengthy hiatus, will try and comment more often if that’s cool with ya’ll :->

Allright guys, finally finished Season 2 of ‘Birdy the Mighty: Decode’. Didn’t really grab me the way the 1st Season did, the fight scenes however remained Cool. Nicholas Nicholas Nicholas 😉
