Hahaha, it’s more of a Sho Kosugi movie, but if you’re a big fan you should check it out.

Yeah, JCVD is a big reason why I’m pumped for Expendables 2 as well. I never thought we was a substitute Schwarzenegger, just a contemporary working in a similar genre. They each delivered different things in their respective movies.

I haven’t seen The Legionaire, but I have heard it’s a stinker. I will watch it one of these days though!

A JCVD film I haven’t seen? Must…. resist…. urge…. to….. scream…. with….. delight!

On a somewhat related note – can’t wait to see him in Expendables 2. JCVD always struck me as the poor mans Schwarzenegger, a label I thought was a tad unfair. Still, it’s hard to argue against if you’ve ever seen that godawful project he did called The Legionnaire.

This movie made me want to go out and get McDonald’s for some strange reason. Actually sounds like a re-watch is in order. I haven’t seen this one since it was on cable back in the day.

I have to agree on your last statement the most. I will quote “Friends with Benefits does a lot wrong, but it does just enough right to make it not as painful as it could have been.” The reason that I agree with this is because some parts were really not needed at all. When my friends and DISH co-workers were talking about it and telling me it was I thought it would have been a lot better but I didn’t like some things about it. Now don’t get me wrong because Mila and Justin were great together but some of the story line lacked. I’m really glad I just used my Blockbuster @Home to get it in the mail rather than going to over paid for it at the movies. Oh well still a good enough movie to see if you haven’t!

I did. I’m baffled at the pretty overwhelmingly positive response it got. There are definitely worse movies, but few movies annoyed me as much this year as that one.

To steal some amazing dialoge from an infinitely better film than this: “the horror….. the horror.”

I would, however, like to see how you go watching The Acid House…. I’m not sure, but I think you could enjoy it.

Indeed. I respect it for it is and what it tries to be, and I’m glad that Malick finally got it made after kicking it around his brain since the 70s, but I don’t think it’s very good. It should totally win Cinematography though. Without even a thought.
